  1. I absolutely love the PEMDAS that looks like hopscotch. Students need to see add/sub and mult/divi left to right and not PEMDAS... awesome idea!

    Thanks

  3. For the coordinate plane, I have my students draw a "C" through the quadrants to help them remember the order in which it's numbered. This really helps them!

    1. I saw your comment again earlier this morning, and it just led to an epiphany of sorts. When I introduce this to my Algebra 1 students later in the year, I want to have a slide in my Smart Notebooks that says "This lesson is brought to you today by the letter C." I can even include a few pictures of Sesame Street characters. Then, later in the lesson, I can show them how the quadrants are numbered as if we were drawing the letter C. Oh my goodness. So excited now. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Sarah - do you have an editable template for the real number system and subsets of the real number system?

    1. I just posted them. I posted PDFs and my original files. You'll need to download Open Office, however, if you want to edit the originals. Hope this helps!

    1. There should be an individual blog post for each of these foldables with the downloadable template. There's a search bar in the right hand column that should help you find the files. Let me know if you need help!
